Discover DIMOSIM

DIMOSIM (DIstrict Modeller and SIMulator) was developed by CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) with the main objective to simulate any possible combination of systems, models and buildings at any scale (building, city or district), at a high speed and in a modular and flexible way in order to respond to a broad spectrum of applications.

DIMOSIM allows the analysis of feasibility, conception and operation of district energy systems by considering and implementing a wide range of phenomena for the transient analysis.

Dimosim scales

Multi scale modelling

Dimosim is able to simulate specific energy issues on multiple scales, from building to district, adapting the modeling level and assumptions accordingly.

3D Geometry

Automatic construction from geojson files and detection of horizontal and vertical adjacencies

Solar Shading

Dimosim computes detailed solar shading from the 3D model and uses it for its energy simulations.

District system modeling

Dimosim allows accounting for detailed energy systems, on the zone, building and district level.

Automatic network generation

Automatic data extraction from BDTOPO data bases (containing roads and buildings) allows for fast generation of comprehensive and detailed simulation projects from existing data. The heating network can be traced by the user, or generated and optimized automatically.
